Caller ID Replacement (i.e. Caller ID Spoofing) can help. Police can use Caller ID Spoofing to trick a criminal into showing up at a specific place and time so that they can be apprehended. For example, if you had a warrant for arrest out for John Doe, you could use Caller ID Spoofing to call John Doe and on the caller ID, display the number for the local grocery store or electronics store. Tell John Doe that he has won tickets to a game or a new DVD player. When John Doe goes to look up the number that called him, he will see that the number was really that of the grocery store or electronics store. That will ensure that he thinks the prize is real. Only thing is that when he shows up to pick up his prize, he will get a sur-prize, the police waiting to pick him up.
